Day 1
On arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be met and transferred to Stone Town. Accommodation is on Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day 2
After breakfast depart to the former Slave market site. Guided visit of the area and then drive to Maruhubi Palace ruins. Guided visit around the Palace, the fishing Village and the dhow shed. Proceed driving to Mangapwani village. Guided walk through the local farms and continue to visit the slave chambers and caves. Swahili Lunch at Serena Restaurant in Mangapwani. The restaurant is located on the outskirt of Zanzibar stone town. The Serena Mangapwani Restaurant and Watersports Centre is a great destination for those looking for somewhere special. Visitors to Mangapwani are offered a fresh seafood barbeque cooked to perfection by Serena’s expert team of chefs. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and the restaurant comprises a series of traditional makuti bandas, all set into a lush hillside overlooking an idyllic beach. Guests can also enjoy fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran rides and other pleasant distractions at the well-equipped watersports centre. Late in the afternoon, Depart from Mangapwani aboard a local dhow and sail to Stone Town. Dinner at a restaurant in town.
Overnight at the hotel
Day 3
After breakfast depart from the hotel with picnic lunches for a full day cultural tour at Kizimbani village. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home. |
